Upon an invitation by the President of Niger Mohamed Bazoum and the President of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani during her visit to New York participated at the conference organised by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, where she confirmed the steadfast commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to the prevention of violent extremism.
President Osmani emphasized that cooperation between states is necessary and in the function of protecting those who are endangered by violent extremist groups and terrorist organizations.
At the conference, President Osmani stated that Kosovo has been supported by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, and hence, now the state of Kosovo has decided to contribute by supporting the Fund.
According to President Osmani, in fighting common challenges, we must stand together.
“Cooperation and awareness lie at the core of sustainable and long-term solutions to systemic threats, which undermine the prosperity of our societies,” emphasized President Osmani, adding that determination and perseverance are our way forward.
