The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today at a meeting the new KFOR Commander Major General Ferenc Kajári, whom she congratulated on his new tenure and praised the contribution of the multinational force in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment in Kosovo.
Speaking of the KFOR role since 1999, President Osmani stressed that this peacekeeping mission has contributed not only in terms of security but also in various infrastructure projects, as well as in the field of healthcare in facing the pandemic. Furthermore, President Osmani mentioned the good cooperation of KFOR with the KSF and reiterated Kosovo's aim for NATO membership.
At the same time, Major General Kajári expressed his readiness to continue the cooperation and regular consultations within the KFOR mandate in Kosovo.
