The President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani Sadriu met with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during her official visit to Doha.
President Osmani thanked the Emir for the excellent relations between our two countries and expressed her readiness to expand diplomatic, economic and trade cooperation. In addition, the President briefed the Emir on overall progress in Kosovo, including the agriculture, tourism and infrastructure sectors as potential areas for investment by the State of Qatar.
President Osmani mentioned the assistance of the people and the State of Qatar to Kosovo during the darkest days for our nation and post declaration of independence. “The people of Kosovo will never forget the generosity of the State of Qatar in difficult moments and to date.”We remain committed to deepening interstate relations,” said the President.
President Osmani is staying in Doha, Qatar to attend the twentieth edition of the Doha Forum which has brought together world leaders, policymakers, scholars and civil society representatives to discuss steps forward following the pandemic-induced developments in all aspects of recent geopolitical life and developments, including the war in Ukraine.
