The President of the Republic of Kosovo Dr. Vjosa Osmani commemorates hero Luan Haradinaj on the 24th anniversary of his fall
According to Madam President, the Haradinaj family, who contributed immensely to our liberation struggle, should feel proud of the actions carried out by Luan, as are all of the citizens of Kosovo.
“He fell on the border between Kosovo – the state for which he took up the riffle, and the state of Albania which had inspired him for the liberation struggle. 24 years ago, in the place called “Qafa e Mullarit” in Kushnin i Hasit, together with 178 comrades, he fell in the ambush carried out by the Yugoslav army. “Luan fell heroically to become a bell which toils for freedom”, said President Osmani.

The name of the hero Luan Haradinaj stands in perfect symbiosis with the profile of the fighter, who turned patriotism into an art of war, becoming one of the icons of the KLA war.
The Haradinaj family, who contributed immensely to our liberation struggle, should feel proud of the actions carried out by Luan, as are all of the citizens of Kosovo.
