Upon an invitation by the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has travelled to Prague where she will represent Kosovo at the first European Political Community (EPC) Summit.
This inaugural meeting will gather heads of state of 44 countries of the European continent with the aim to promote political dialogue and strengthen cooperation in order to address the most urgent issues of security and stability in Europe.
In addition to participating at the main sessions of the European Political Community, President Osmani will hold bilateral meetings with European leaders to discuss the further expansion of cooperation towards overcoming of common challenges.
President Osmani will convey the message of the unwavering commitment of the people and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Kosovo to the European leaders, as a guarantee for sustainable peace in the region and beyond. During the bilateral meetings, President Osmani will also discuss support for Kosovo's membership in international organizations.
The European Political Community is a platform for political coordination created on the foundations of the proposal of the French president Emmanuel Macron, which will bring together the leaders of the 27 member states of the European Union (EU) and the leaders of 17 other European countries will.
This initiative aims to promote dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest, strengthening security, stability and prosperity on the European continent.
