President Osmani held a virtual meeting with the British Minister for European Neighbourhood and the Americas, Wendy Morton

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani held a virtual meeting with Wendy Morton, Minister for European Neighborhood and the Americas in the Government of the United Kingdom, who congratulated her on her election as President of Kosovo.

President Osmani emphasized that the United Kingdom remains a strategic ally of the Republic of Kosovo and that it will work to deepen bilateral relations in the fields of politics, trade, national security and defense, as well as culture and education.



President Osmani stressed that the priorities of the institutions are the provision of vaccines against COVID-19, job creation and the rule of law.



President Osmani asked for support from the United Kingdom in supplying vaccines for the citizens of Kosovo, given that the United Kingdom is a leading country in vaccinating the population.



Minister Morton emphasized the support of the United Kingdom for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations and expressed readiness to intensify bilateral relations.



Further, Minister Morton encouraged Kosovo to be part of the global environmental agenda and combating climate change.


President Osmani and Minister Morton discussed about the dialogue with Serbia and stressed the importance of involving all political groups, including opposition parties, in topics of national interest.
