The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has commemorated the intellectual Ukshin Hoti, on the 23rd anniversary of his disappearance. On May 16th 1999, he was released from Dubrava Prison and nothing has been known about his fate since that day.
“23 years of waiting and anxiety for the man who synchronized political thought with political activism for freedom, Republic and democracy. Republic, freedom and democracy came true, but the fate of the thinker remains hostage. “He remained faithful to the idea of the Republic, and freedom will make sense only when his fate and that of those who disappeared with other violence, is clarified along with the establishment of justice,” states President Osmani's commemoration.
