The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, the Speaker of the Assembly Glauk Konjufca and Prime Minister Albin Kurti received the ambassadors of the QUINT countries and the Head of the EU Office in Kosovo to discuss the vetting process and the importance of the strengthening of the rule of law.
The coordination of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo with the EU and QUINT countries on the vetting process in Kosovo was discussed at the meeting. Institutional leaders conveyed messages on the inalienable and vital importance of building a sustainable and long-term vetting system, to guarantee a justice system with high integrity, professionalism and efficiency, which responds to the needs of citizens for justice.
They also reiterated the commitment of Kosovo institutions to build and implement this process while respecting the highest European standards, which guarantee the independence, efficiency and effectiveness of justice institutions, and for which Kosovo has sought an opinion from the Venice Commission.
