The Acting President Vjosa Osmani Sadriu received today the Italian Ambassador Mr. Nicola Orlando.
Ambassador Orlando congratulated Acting President Osmani on the anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kosovo and for the results achieved in the elections held on February 14th .
Both parties emphasized the importance of the constitution of the new institutions of the country as soon as possible which should reflect the will of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. The importance of counting each and every vote was also pointed out, in direct reference to the process of counting of the diaspora votes.
Speaking in relation to the fact that the citizens of Kosovo have clearly voted for change, Osmani stressed the importance of the introduction of a governance mentality and program orientation that focuses on investing in human capital.
The issue of the dialogue and the importance of the continuation of this process through ensuring the coordination between the European Union and the United States of America was also discussed at the meeting.
