The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, accompanied by the Rugova family and the ambassadors accredited to Kosovo, paid homage at the tomb of the historic President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
President Osmani wrote:
Eternal honour to the historic President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, the founding father of our Republic, the man who led the people of Kosovo on the path to freedom and independence.
He remains a symbol of peace and freedom, hence his glory remains eternal.
