The rock groups of the 80s were part of the cultural “boom” in Kosovo, at a time when it was being suppressed and our culture was being denied. Their music heralded and stimulated social change and echoed the aspirations, frustrations and dreams of a generation hungry for change.
Last night, President Osmani awarded the Presidential Medal of Merit to rock groups: Minatori, Trix, Elita 5, TNT, Gjurmët, Oda, 403, MAK, Ilirët, Telex, Fisnikët and Fontana.
