At the invitation of the First Lady of the United States of America, Mrs. Melania Trump, the First Gentleman of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Prindon Sadriu, launched today his activities within the framework of the inaugural Summit of the “Fostering the Future Together” coalition, which is being held in Washington D.C. The main goal of this two-day summit is to protect the well-being of children through education, innovation and technology.
The initial meetings of the summit were held at the US Department of State, while the high-level meeting, which will be attended by 45 First Ladies and Gentlemen from around the world, will be held tomorrow at the White House. Kosovo is honoured to be among the 45 countries selected by the White House to participate in this Summit.
During the meetings at the US Department of State, First Mr. Sadriu met with US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, spoke with counterparts from participating countries, as well as with representatives of leading technology companies that are part of this global coalition, including OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, xAI, Palantir, Adobe and Zoom Communications. In the conversations with global technology companies, issues on how Kosovo will benefit from the services and platforms they offer for children and youth in Kosovo were also discussed.
At these meetings, Mr. Sadriu presented the potential of Kosovo and the commitment of President Vjosa Osmani and our country to build a digital future that empowers young people and protects children in the online space.
At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, Kosovo joined this initiative among the first countries in the world, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring that children and young people benefit from the opportunities offered by the digital age, always focusing on their protection and well-being.
