The Acting President of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani, in accordance with the constitutional responsibilities, has awarded post mortem 18 health professionals with the Presidential Medal of Merits who lost their lives while on duty facing Covid-19. They became infected with the virus while in direct service with patients.
The Acting President said that this is the gratitude of all citizens to those who by respecting the oath of Hippocrates made it impossible to treat patients affected by Covid-19.
“Their commitment to human values and their profession, as well as their sublime sacrifice in protecting the health of their patients, is a sign of the highest professional and human awareness”, said at the ceremony Acting President Osmani.
