Acting President Haxhiu has signed decrees for the release from duty of seven prosecutors from the Serbian community, following the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council

The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, following the decision of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council to release from duty seven prosecutors from the Serbian community, who had resigned in 2022, has signed decrees releasing them from duty.

According to her, this act concludes a process that has been going on for years and implements the decision of the competent institution, in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Our state functions on the principles of constitutional order and the rule of law. No one can hold hostage the functioning of institutions or create legal uncertainty through unfinished processes,” said Acting President Haxhiu.

She said that the Republic of Kosovo will continue to act decisively, in accordance with the law and in defense of the integrity of its institutions.
