Over 2,000 participants, over 150 panelists from more than 45 countries and over 30 panels and discussion sessions for two consecutive days, Kosovo became the global epicenter of discussions on peace, security and the rights of women and children.
On the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Agenda on Women, Peace and Security, Kosovo once again presented itself as a champion of this agenda as a country that, although emerging from war, has chosen peace, women’s empowerment, and the continuous advancement of human rights as the path to development.
The focus of this edition was not only on women, but also on children, emphasizing the damage caused across generations by wars and conflicts, but also on the importance of their prevention, taking the history of Kosovo as a reason. The children of Kosovo, once children of war, are today the purest proof of the resilience and hope that arises from peace.
Thanks to everyone who was part of this forum through words, ideas, experiences and visions, Kosovo was once again placed at the heart of this agenda and global discussions that aim for a fairer, safer and more peaceful world for all.
A special thanks for the tireless work of the presidential cabinet, the civil servants, as well as all institutions and partners who contributed to the success of this edition.
Thank you! The work continues…
