President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today at a meeting the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, who informed her about the proceedings of the meeting held in Brussels, between the Prime Minister of Kosovo and Prime Minister of Serbia.
Prime Minister Thaçi presented Madam President with the signed document, which will be sent to the Parliament of Kosovo for ratification, on implementation of the agreement reached at the dialogue process for the normalisation of relations between Republic of Kosovo and Republic of Serbia, mediated by the European Union and strongly supported by the United States of America.
President Jahjaga and Prime Minister Thaçi also discussed the preparation for local elections for municipality assemblies and municipality mayors which will be held at the same time for the whole territory of republic of Kosovo, including the four municipalities in the north of the country and for the decision on the date on which the elections will be held, in accordance with the agreement implementation plan and within the legally prescribed time limit.
