President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, on the occasion of March 7th, Teachers Day, visited two veteran teachers, Mr. Ahmet Kelmendi and Mrs. Veronika Mjeda –Gashi.
President Jahjaga thanked the teachers for their contribution on the education and emancipation of many generations of the citizens of Kosovo.
She also added that path laid by the first generation of teachers and the spirit they have passed on to the young generations has raised the awareness and made possible for Kosovo to enjoy freedom, independence and to develop a vision of a state build upon democratic principles, aiming integration into European Union and NATO.
