President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, received today a group of children affected by Down syndrome, accompanied by the executive director of One to One Children’s Fund, Ms. Liridona Zogaj, the OPFFAKOS Director, Mr. Aziz Nishori, as well as the group educators.
Madam President expressed full institutional support for the work of the organisations caring for children affected by Down syndrome.
Ms. Zogaj and Mr. Nishori informed President Jahjaga with the plans and activities of the organisation in lieu of augmentation of the care level provided to the children with special needs in general. According to them, all inclusive integration of these children in mainstream education process remains one of the greatest challenges.
