The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Madam Atifete Jahjaga, has developed today consultative meetings with the representatives of the parliamentary political parties for the determination of date of the early elections for Mayor of Gracanica, after the resignation of Mayor to date.
Based on the laws of the Republic of Kosova and after the letter of the Ministry of Local Government Administration, received in the Office of President and following the consultations with the political parties, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga took the decision that the elections for Mayor of Gracanica to be held on January 18, 2015.
President Jahjaga has instructed the Central Elections Commission of the Republic of Kosovo to undertake all actions necessary for the organization and the holding of the elections for Mayor of Gracanica, in accordance with the decision of the President and the laws in force.
President Jahjaga invites the citizens of the Municipality of Gracanica to use their constitutional right to elect the Mayor of the Municipality. The participation of all citizens of Gracanica in the elections for Mayor, will give them the opportunity to help raise the welfare and improve their lives, helping faster integration of all the communities in the Republic of Kosovo.
