The President of the United States, Barack Obama has sent telegram of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, on the occasion of the Feast of Eid al-Fitr.
In the note of felicitation it is said:

The American people joins me and Michelle us in conveying our best wishes to you and the people of your country on your celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
During Ramadan, Muslims around the world – including the strong and dynamic community of American Muslims – have tried to be closer to God, through the spiritual renewal and the deeds of religious loyalty. This was also an opportunity to spend more time with our loved ones, to help those who were less fortunate and to think more deeply about the wisdom and peace, deriving from faith. It was also a time when, during the rituals of fasting and prayer, to remember all the values that we share and our joint humanity.
We wish that the upcoming year will bring you joy, prosperity and welfare.
