The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, stated that she was deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Police Officer Altin Kryeziu, who succumbed to the injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle while performing his official duties.
Acting President Haxhiu further stated that today his family lost a loved one, while the Kosovo Police lost a colleague and one of its members who had chosen his profession as a means of serving others.
“Altin’s death is also a painful reminder that, in road traffic, a single moment of carelessness can take someone’s life and forever change the lives of many others. Therefore, caution on the road and responsibility towards one another are, above all, a responsibility towards human life”, Acting President Haxhiu emphasized.
She expressed her sincere condolences to the Kryeziu family.
“I extend my deepest condolences to the Kryeziu family. My thoughts are with Altin’s colleagues in the Kosovo Police and all those who knew him, worked with him and today remember him with sorrow. May his memory be eternal”, Acting President Haxhiu said.
