The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, received today Gino Mulliq and Gëzim Rushiti, representatives of the “Albanians for America” organization.
The special relationship between Kosovo and the United States and the role that the Albanian-American community continues to play in preserving and strengthening it, were discussed at the meeting.
“The history of Kosovo’s relationship with the United States cannot be written without the contribution of the Albanian-American community. For decades, this community has kept the issue of Kosovo present at the Congress, within the US administration and in public debate, thus creating friendship and support across party lines. This legacy remains one of the most important pillars of our connection with America,” said Acting President Haxhiu.
She thanked the representatives of the “Albanians for America” organization for their continued engagement to the strengthening of the voice of Albanians in the United States and in protection of the interests of Kosovo.
