Today, with honor and humility, we remember the 28th anniversary of the Dukagjini Epopee, one of the most glorious chapters of our fight for freedom.
On March 24, 1998, in Gllogjan, the Kosovo Liberation Army waged a frontal battle in this area, courageously confronting the forces of the genocidal regime of Serbia, which had surrounded the village and in particular the Haradinaj family, which became a symbol of resistance and sacrifice for freedom.
On that glorious day, the martyrs Himë Haradinaj, Gazmend and Agron Mehmetaj fell for freedom, becoming eternally part of our national history.
The Dukagjini Epopee is a remembrance and testament of sacrifice, courage and determination for freedom. It remains a permanent inspiration for generations to preserve and strengthen the state, built on the blood of martyrs.
