President Osmani received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Costa Rica to Kosovo, Olga M. Sauma Uribe

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Costa Rica to the Republic of Kosovo, Olga M. Sauma Uribe.
 
On this occasion, President Osmani welcomed the Ambassador and congratulated her on her appointment, expressing her belief that the Ambassador’s mandate will contribute to the further deepening of the excellent relations between the two countries.
 
Madam President expressed gratitude for Costa Rica’s early and principled support to the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo, emphasizing the potential for the expansion of bilateral cooperation. She noted that Kosovo highly values friendly relations with Latin American countries and remains committed to strengthening cooperation with countries in this region in areas of mutual interest.
 
During the meeting, opportunities for deepening cooperation in diplomacy, economy and especially in tourism were discussed. In this context, President Osmani underlined the importance of intensifying cooperation on the mutual abolition of visas between the two countries, as a concrete step towards strengthening cooperation between our citizens, businesses, and deepening bilateral relations.
 
In conclusion, President Osmani reaffirmed the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to peace and international cooperation, emphasizing the importance of partnership with Costa Rica and other Latin American countries in advancing common priorities for peace, democracy and development.
