The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that on January 31st, 1997, Zahir Pajaziti, Hakif Zejnullahu, and Edmond Hoxha heroically fell for the homeland and inspired thousands of boys and girls to join the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army, putting their lives in the service of freedom.
President Osmani wrote:
Today in Prishtina, in Orllan, and in the Square in Podujevë, we bowed to the foundations of our freedom.
