The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received yesterday the United States Charge d’Affaires in Kosovo, Ms. Anu Prattipati.
In light of the letter received from President Trump, President Osmani expressed her deep gratitude for his support and for the strong words on the partnership with Kosovo. She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to working closely with President Trump in further expanding the alliance with the United States and advancing common strategic objectives.
President Osmani highly appreciated the news communicated to her last week by US Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau regarding the continuation of the MCC Compact in Kosovo, as a step that will significantly assist the long-term and strategic development of the energy sector, as well as the positive developments in terms of Kosovo’s integration into the global digital landscape.
Furthermore, President Osmani and Ms. Prattipati also discussed recent developments in Kosovo, in particular the issue of the constitution of the Assembly and expectations on forthcoming steps.
Among others, concrete steps towards the expansion of cooperation in areas of common interest were also discussed.
