The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Special Envoy of the Kingdom of Norway for the Western Balkans, Mr. Eirik Nestås Mathisen.
The latest developments in Kosovo and the region, the bilateral relations between Kosovo and Norway, as well as the importance of the continued Norwegian support on Kosovo’s path towards Euro-Atlantic integration were discussed at the meeting.
President Osmani expressed her gratitude for the continuous support that Norway has provided to Kosovo during each state building stage, emphasizing that this support is key in the ongoing efforts for integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
In this context, President Osmani underlined the importance of Kosovo becoming a member of the Council of Europe as soon as possible, as well as moving forward in the Euro-Atlantic integration process.
Other topics of mutual interest of the two countries were also discussed, with the reaffirmation of commitment for further expansion of the partnership between Kosovo and Norway.
