The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Ambassador of Ireland to Kosovo, Mr. Ragnar Almqvist, with whom she discussed bilateral relations and opportunities for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
At the meeting, President Osmani thanked Ireland for its continued support of Kosovo, especially in the European integration processes and in international organizations. She emphasized the importance of the partnership with Ireland, as a country with shared democratic values and a valuable ally of Kosovo.
Among the main topics of discussion was also the need to lift the unjust measures imposed by the European Union against Kosovo, underlining that their lifting would be a powerful message for Kosovo to further contribute to the common EU values and vision.
Madam President and Ambassador Almqvist also discussed Kosovo’s advancement on the path toward European integration and the importance of the support provided by international partners in this process.
