The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, received the Ambassador of Sweden to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund, with whom she discussed the latest developments in the country as well as the cooperation in overcoming joint challenges on the European continent.
President Osmani, Ambassador Westerlund and the executive director of the Balkan Policy Research Group Naim Rashiti, during the meeting signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which will provide the Office of the President with support from the Swedish state, through professional expertise within the scope of the institution of the Presidency.
During the signing ceremony, President Osmani thanked Ambassador Westerlund for Sweden’s continued support to Kosovo, emphasizing the importance of partnership in strengthening democratic institutions and advancing our country’s European agenda.
This Memorandum of Cooperation marks another concrete step towards strengthening institutional capacities and creating policies based on international expertise and best practices.
