The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Ombudsperson, Mr. Naim Qelaj. The current state of human rights in the country and the challenges faced by the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo were discussed in this meeting.
President Osmani underlined the importance of close inter-institutional and international cooperation to guarantee and promote human rights for all citizens, without discrimination. She stressed that institutions must be committed to implementing the recommendations of the Ombudsperson, as a key tool for strengthening the rule of law and advancing human rights.
The Ombudsperson informed the President about the most frequent issues addressed by this institution. Both parties agreed on the necessity of continuing cooperation to protect fundamental human rights in Kosovo.
