The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received a congratulatory telegram from His Majesty, Emperor Naruhito of Japan. In the congratulatory telegram, the Emperor of Japan conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to President Osmani on her election as the President of Kosovo and wished prosperity to all the people of Kosovo.
On this occasion, President Osmani pointed out that she
feels extremely honoured by the attentiveness and the congratulatory telegram
of Emperor Naruhito. President Osmani further underlined that our countries share
the same attitudes and viewpoints on the challenges in the international arena
and that Kosovo considers Japan to be its closest ally in the Far East.

decades, Kosovo has received comprehensive support from Japan in post-war
reconstruction as well as in areas such as environmental protection and public
health
