Acting President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu received the Head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Tomas Szunyog.
On this occasion, Mr. Szunyog congratulated Acting President Osmani once again on the anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, and congratulated her on the result in the parliamentary elections.
The parties discussed about the high importance of establishing institutions as soon as possible in order to ensure stability in the country. Also, both sides agreed that this would greatly help the effective approach in dealing seriously with the pandemic situation and the commitment to economic recovery.
In this regard, special emphasis during the meeting was placed on providing the vaccine as soon as possible. On this occasion, Acting President Osmani reiterated the importance the concrete cooperation with the EU and EU member states has in order to provide the vaccine in the shortest possible time.
Acting President Osmani thanked the EU for its supportive role in the election process, and also stressed that it is now important to ensure that the will of the citizens is respected. She assured Mr. Szunyog that the development orientation will be focused on investments in areas such as rule of law, employment, health, education, environment, and digitalization.
