At the invitation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, travelled to Tirana, where she will represent the Republic of Kosovo at the meeting of the European Union and the Western Balkans leaders.
At the meeting of the EU and the Western Balkans leaders, President Osmani will convey the Kosovo people’s clear message on the need to accelerate the integration process, starting from the overdue visa liberalization, up to supporting the candidate member status for the Republic of Kosovo, following its application.
The EU and the Western Balkans leaders will discuss in Tirana, among other things, the geostrategic challenges resulting from the Russian aggression in Ukraine, the intensification of political engagement, strengthening security and building resilience against foreign interventions, the challenges posed by migration as well as the fight against corruption and organized crime.
