It was with deep sorrow that I received the news of the grave killing that occurred today in the village of Livoç i Ulët in the municipality of Gjilan, where a woman and a man lost their lives, and another person was wounded by gunfire.
On behalf of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and its citizens, I extend my deepest condolences to the victims’ families and wish a speedy recovery to the injured person.
No circumstance can justify taking a human life.
No one has the right to expose women to danger, violence, or suffering.
Therefore, I call upon the justice authorities to investigate this case with full dedication, clarify all the circumstances, and bring the perpetrators to justice.
