The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, has awarded the athlete Donjeta Sadiku the Presidential Medal of Merit, for the exceptional success achieved in the “Taranto 2026” Mediterranean Games , her contribution to the sport of boxing and the worthy representation of the Republic of Kosovo in the international arena.
Donjeta Sadiku was the flag bearer of the Republic of Kosovo at the opening ceremony of the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy. A few days later, she won the gold medal, after triumphing in the final against Kristina Kuluhova, who represented Serbia, marking an important success for Kosovo sports.
President Haxhiu congratulated Donjeta Sadiku on this achievement, as well as coach Marjola Sallauka and her entire team for the work and dedication behind this success.
She wished Donjeta further success in future competitions, confirming that with her results and continued performances, she is representing Kosovo with dignity and serving as an example to the younger generations of athletes.
