First Gentleman Prindon Sadriu participated at the inaugural Summit of the “Fostering the Future Together” global coalition, at the invitation of the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump.
The main event took place at the White House, where Kosovo, represented by the First Gentleman Mr. Sadriu, was among the only 8 countries selected to deliver the keynote address of the occasion, out of 45 participating countries. In his speech, Mr. Sadriu thanked the United States of America for its decisive support to Kosovo, and emphasized Kosovo’s commitment to empowering children and youth through education, innovation and technology, always placing their protection at the centre of digital development.
In December 2025, at the initiative of President Vjosa Osmani, the President and the First Gentleman officially announced Kosovo’s decision to join the “Fostering the Future Together” global coalition.
The two-day summit began with meetings at the US Department of State, where Mr. Sadriu met with senior US officials, including Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, and held talks with representatives of leading technology companies such as OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, xAI, Palantir, Adobe and Zoom Communications.
The discussions focused on ways in which Kosovo can benefit from these platforms and services, in order to support the education and well-being of children and young people.
Kosovo’s participation at this Summit demonstrates not only the international appreciation for our country, but also the commitment of Kosovo, as well as of President Vjosa Osmani, to provide actual digital and educational opportunities for the new generation. This is a historic moment, confirming Kosovo as an active and reliable partner in global initiatives for the future of children.
