The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has just submitted to the Assembly the constitutional amendments for direct election of the President, which were drafted by the Commission for Amendments to the Constitution in 2011.
President Osmani wrote:
DIRECT ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT!
Seeing the successive failures in the election of the President, I have just submitted to the Assembly the constitutional amendments for direct election of the President, which were drafted by the Commission for Amendments to the Constitution in 2011.
I invite all political parties to vote on these constitutional amendments.
From now on, let the people speak!
