The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has received a letter of congratulations from the President of the Democratic Republic of East Timor, José Ramos-Horta, on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence.
In his letter, President Ramos-Horta assessed the historical importance of the declaration of independence as a defining moment in the journey of state-building, consolidation of sovereignty and development of the country.
Emphasizing the consolidated partnership between the two countries, he expressed his appreciation for the continuous efforts to expand cooperation in various areas of common interest. In this spirit, President Ramos-Horta also highlighted the experience of East Timor in the state-building journey, as a meeting point that strengthens understanding and closeness between the two countries.
