Following the assumption of the duty of the KFOR Commander, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received Major General Özkan Ulutaş yesterday.
On this occasion, President Osmani congratulated him on his new task as the KFOR Commander and on his return to Kosovo, expressing full confidence in the continuation of close cooperation in order to fulfil the joint goals for peace and security in Kosovo and in the region. In this spirit, she reiterated her gratitude for the engagement and dedication of all military personnel serving within KFOR.
Discussing developments in the field of security, as well as threats coming from Serbia, including threats with a special focus on the use of drones, Madam President emphasized the importance of KFOR coordination and cooperation with our security institutions in order to prevent Serbia’s destabilizing tactics.
