The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during her stay in New York, met with the Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See, Archbishop Paul Gallagher.
President Osmani wrote:
During my stay in New York, I met with Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See. Following the opening of our Mission to the Vatican, I underlined our commitment to even closer and enduring relations with the Holy See.
I also expressed the hope that under the leadership of Pope Leo XIV, further steps will be taken towards the full recognition of Kosovo’s independence, and I reiterated the invitation for Pope Leo to visit Kosovo.
