On May 21st 1999, Serbian forces of the Serbian genocidal regime brutally killed 13 civilians in Stagovë, Kaçanik, including 7-year-old Fitim Gudaqi. In defense of the civilians, KLA member Ekrem Gudaqi also fell a martyr.
This massacre, one of the most horrific in Kosovo, was investigated by the Hague Tribunal, but no one was convicted. Serbian paramilitaries destroyed over 90 houses out of 180 in the village and killed the livestock.
This day remains a symbol of pain and resistance.
May the memory of the martyrs and those who sacrificed themselves for freedom be eternal!
