The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today the Head of the European Union Election Observation Mission, MEP Nathalie Loiseau, who handed over this mission’s final report on the 2025 parliamentary elections.
President Osmani thanked MEP Loiseau and all members of the mission for the engagement and professionalism shown throughout the electoral process. She emphasized that the presence of this mission, at her request, demonstrates the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to transparency, accountability, the rule of law and the accomplishment of the highest democratic standards.
President Osmani emphasized that the 2025 parliamentary elections were a testament to the political and civic maturity in Kosovo, stating that this electoral process, conducted in a calm and orderly manner, also confirmed that democracy in Kosovo is alive, stable and in continuously progress.
On her part, the Head of the Election Observation Mission Loiseau congratulated President Osmani on the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to the protection of democratic values and the peaceful organization of the elections. She appreciated the maturity shown by the citizens of Kosovo, as well as the full cooperation offered to the observation mission.
Madam President and the Head of Mission Loiseau also discussed the report’s recommendations on further improvement of the democratic processes in the country.
