President Osmani received the Ambassador of Japan, Kiminori Iwama

The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the Ambassador of Japan to Kosovo, Mr. Kiminori Iwama.

Recent developments in the region and security challenges were discussed at the meeting, with President Osmani thanking Japan for its support in promotion of peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

President Osmani highly appreciated Japan’s continued multifaceted support through the JICA agency.

In this context, Madam President informed Ambassador Iwama with the bilateral visit to Japan, planned for June, as well as the participation in EXPO 2025 in Osaka, within the framework of this visit.

Madam President also emphasized that this visit will coincide with Kosovo Liberation Day on June 12, offering a special opportunity to promote Kosovo and strengthen ties between the two countries.

President Osmani further underlined the importance of expansion of cooperation in the fields of economy, education and cultural exchanges, mentioning the positive impact of Japanese scholarships and programs aimed at Kosovo’s youth.
