A quarter of a century ago, in the courtyard of a house in Beleg, Deçan, the police, military and paramilitary forces of the Serbian genocidal Serbian separated men and minors from women and then executed and massacred 46 Albanians.
This was one of the largest massacres committed by Serbian paramilitary forces, which in 1999 launched a savage offensive against the civilian population.
Even today, after so many years, the fate of some residents who disappeared by force has not been clarified, and the wounds still remain open for the families and for all of Kosovo. Justice remains a debt to them and to our history.
