The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received today the former President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid, a friend and supporter of Kosovo during her presidency.
At the meeting, President Osmani expressed her heartfelt gratitude to former President Kaljulaid for her unwavering support during her time in office and for Estonia’s continued advocacy for Kosovo on the international stage.
President Osmani also briefed former President Kaljulaid on the latest developments in the country following the terrorist attack on vital infrastructure, reaffirming the commitment of Kosovo institutions to conducting a thorough and professional investigation. She emphasized that the attack specifically targeted critical infrastructure, intending to cause significant damage that would directly impact the lives of citizens. In this context, President Osmani stressed the essential importance of cooperation to combat Serbian criminal gangs, which are supported, trained and financed by Serbia, and therefore stressed the need for communication and coordination in order to prevent further possible attacks.
During the meeting, President Osmani emphasized the excellent relations between Kosovo and Estonia and reaffirmed Kosovo’s commitment to building a future based on democratic values, stability and prosperity and emphasized her commitment to further strengthening of ties between Kosovo and Estonia.
