At the invitation of the President of the European Council Charles Michel, the President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani departed today to Brussels where she will be representing the Republic of Kosovo at the European Union and the Western Balkans leaders\u2019 summit.<\/p>\n
At the meeting of the EU and the Western Balkans leaders, President Osmani will discuss the need to accelerate the integration process in light of the ongoing security challenges in the region and beyond, commencing with support for the candidate country status for the Republic of Kosovo.<\/p>\n
Leaders of the EU and the Western Balkans, among other things, will also be discussing in Brussels the enlargement process and the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans, coordination with the EU common foreign and security policy as well as overcoming the common challenges.<\/p>\n
