The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, was received at the NATO headquarters by Admiral Rob Bauer, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee.<\/p>\n
The extraordinary NATO contribution to the freedom and security of our country, the expansion of Kosovo-NATO cooperation as well as the coordination between the security institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and KFOR were discussed at the meeting. Madam President expressed her deep gratitude for the dedication of women and men of the allied forces in maintaining peace and security in the country and in the region.<\/p>\n
The latest security developments in the country and the region, including the ongoing attacks upon NATO forces, Kosovo Police, citizens and journalists, by Serbian criminal gangs in the north of the country, on which the President emphasized that security challenges are never individual, but a collective responsibility, were issues also discussed at the meeting. In this spirit, Madam President underlined that the Republic of Kosovo, as a dedicated NATO partner, will continue to work closely with allies to jointly address security challenges, as well as to promote peace and security.<\/p>\n
