The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani has condemned the physical violence between the Members of the Assembly of Kosovo which occurred today during the plenary session.<\/p>\n

Below is Madam President’s reaction in its entirety:<\/p>\n

The use of physical violence as a means to address grievances, differences or political disagreements is the greatest damage that can be inflicted upon the institutions that were built with so much to sacrifice.<\/p>\n

The Assembly is the cornerstone of our democratic society, where different voices come together to represent the interests of citizens, hence violence has no place in the temple of democracy and cannot be turned into a political tool.<\/p>\n

We must reaffirm our commitment to democracy, difference of opinion as well as mutual respect, relying on the rule of law and in respect of the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
