On the initiative of the Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo, as part of the commitments of the Summit for Democracy, Kosovo has joined the Justice Action Coalition, thus joining the United States and a group of other democratic states that aim to collectively promote citizen-centred justice at all levels.<\/p>\n
“Through this coalition, the Republic of Kosovo will contribute to the development of international strategies and priorities aimed at equal access to justice for all,” said President Osmani, reaffirming once again the unwavering commitment to strengthening the rule of law and democracy in Kosovo and abroad.<\/p>\n
The Republic of Kosovo, throughout the past year, has achieved significant successes in the three commitments of the Summit for Democracy, which were aimed at strengthening the rule of law and the fight against corruption, the fight against authoritarianism, the advancement of human rights, diversity and inclusiveness with a focus on advancing women’s rights and gender equality.<\/p>\n
Due to this success, out of more than 100 participating countries, the Presidency of the Republic of Kosovo, as the leading institution in Kosovo during the “Year of Action”, within the framework of the Summit for Democracy, has been selected by the White House to co-lead with the rule of law thematic cohort.<\/p>\n
