The President of Republic of Kosovo, Dr. Fatmir Sejdiu has sent a letter to Mr. David Cameron, congratulating him on his election as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

Below you may read the entire letter sent by the President:<\/p>\n

Dear Mr. Cameron,<\/p>\n

It gives me great pleasure to congratulate you – on behalf of the people and the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo – on your appointment as head of Her Majesty’s Government.<\/p>\n

The May 6th election outcome provides an historic opportunity for renewal in the United Kingdom at a critical juncture for your nation, Europe, and indeed the world at large.<\/p>\n

We are highly appreciative of the key role your country has played in the times of war and peace in the modern history of Kosovo. We have enjoyed the unrelenting support of the Government, indeed the entire political spectrum and the British society at large, as Kosovo won its freedom and independent nationhood, which has been recognized by 68 countries.<\/p>\n

The Republic of Kosovo looks to furthering its comprehensive and amicable relations with the United Kingdom, and I believe we shall have in you, Mr. Cameron, a friend and ally in Kosovo’s pursuit of Euro-Atlantic integrations.<\/p>\n

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,<\/p>\n

Let me use this occasion to invite you to visit the Republic of Kosovo, the new country that has embraced the world of free nations, at the first convenient opportunity for you.
